Eid al-Fitr 2019 (1440 AH)

Assalamu alaikum! The moon has NOT been sighted, so Eid al-Fitr will be on Wednesday, June 5th.

Don’t forget to pay your Zakat al-Fitr / Fitrana before you pray the Eid prayer. The minimum amount this year is $8 per person in your household.

Due to the large number of people being expected, there are two prayer times at the masjid; one beginning at 7:15am and one beginning at 9am. Please come early and try to carpool to minimize parking issues. Make sure to park your cars appropriately, both in the parking lot and on the street. Double-parking and blocking of the street or our neighbors’ driveways will not be tolerated. There will be a team of people enforcing good parking etiquette; please do not cause them unnecessary issues.

The schedule is as follows:

First Prayer

7:15am to 7:30am Takbirat
7:30am to 7:45am English khutbah (sermon)
7:45am sharp
Eid Prayer (Salat al-Eid), followed by the Arabic khutbah
Afterwards, please leave promptly to make room for the cars and people coming for the second prayer.

Second Prayer

9:00am to 9:15am Takbirat
9:15am to 9:30am English khutbah (sermon)
9:30am sharp
Eid Prayer (Salat al-Eid), followed by the Arabic khutbah

Eid Mubarak!
